Consulting Services

WineChef Consulting is geared to work within all reasonable restaurant budgets. As a company based on helping others succeed our fees are among the lowest in the country, while our staff is among the most qualified. WineChef Consulting is geared towards small to midsized companies whose commitment to community and quality are at the forefront. Our consultants can work with you to develop a wine list, bring a higher level of excellence to your menus, or open an entire restaurant.

Consultation begins with observing the restaurant from every angle. From the diners perspective to the staff.Using an efficient model we will target areas in need of the most improvement and prioritize based on your budget and time allowances. It is an understanding that by taking on one client at a time we will maximize our efforts while minimizing your financial investment and time. 

  • Sommelier Services

     

    Our team of certified sommeliers provide the following services:

    • create an exceptional wine list, including by the glass, flights, and award worthy menus working with existing vendors and bringing in new connections
    • train in house staff on basic wine knowledge to that of a level in preparation for the Court of Master Sommeliers exam
    • pair wines with existing menus
    • create signature cocktails
    • create flights
    • provide guided and exclusive tasting opportunities to local wineries, breweries, and distilleries
    • create wine maker dinners to showcase the chefs versatility joined with the wines of the region
    • manage inventory
    Sommelier services start at $500 for a day of training and $1000 to develop a wine list. Additional packages are assessed on a case by case basis.
  • Chef Services

     

    Our team of chefs and pastry chefs provide the following services:

    • create an exceptional menu that is easy to execute relative to the size of the kitchen and competency of the staff, utilizing local purveyors and vendors
    • train in house staff or recruit staff to execute implemented menus, build quality standards, refine presentation, and create consistency
    • create dishes and menus that will set your restaurant apart based on the local demographic
    • provide opportunities to create lifelong connections with farmers by touring the region and exploring farmers markets
    • manage inventory
    Chef services start at $1000 for a basic overview and consultation, commitments tend to be most effective on a week by week basis and can be adjusted to fit your budget and needs.
  • Staffing

     

    Our team of culinary professionals provide the following services:

    • evaluate current staff, make adjustments, and hire as needed, then train the entire staff to promote consistency
    • enforce quality standards from the way that a staff member approaches a table to their overall appearance
    • team building opportunities that will strengthen the bonds within the restaurant and increase opportunities to up sell
    • evaluate staffing needs and regulate procedures
    • bring in Point of Sales systems and provide in house training
    • work with management to create and sustain a healthy work environment

    Staffing services start at $500 for a general overview and consultation with suggestions to how to move forward. A complete staffing consultation can be done within a week, requiring the staff to put in additional hours before a shift and then followed by a shift observation, this service is provided for $2500.

  • Design

     

    From the look of the restaurant to the impression of your website, the design team of food photographers, graphic designers, web designers, and interior designers will control the overall branding of your company. Designers are selected from an elite group of professionals whose specialty is based in the hospitality industry. the designers will work within your budget to make substantial changes where necessary in order to put your best foot forward.

    Designers work on a contracted basis and the services start at $500 for graphic design to $1000 to design a simple but effective website and web presence. 

  • Menus

     

    The competent team at WineChef Consulting will design menus or proofread your existing menus for accuracy, layout, language translation, and grammatical errors.

    Charges start at $75 and can usually be done the same day.
